My Dog, Dash

I love my dog Dash. But, when it comes to barking at nothing… Not so much. He has golden fluffy fur and he’s very hyper. He wants to play all the time. For instance, when I’m doing my homework, he brings his red, rubber bone and drops it on my lap. Another way he interrupts me when I’m doing my homework is by barking and believe me, it’s impossible to ignore. His bark is really loud and when he starts you can’t stop him from barking.

Even though I think his bark is really annoying, I feel bad for him. Everyone in my house is busy so we don’t really have time to play with him. We also have another dog named Harry, a Great Dane who sings to the piano and the drums. Everyone loves him. Only few people notice Dash. So when my mom says she’ll take Harry to the store, my dad and I say just take Dash. I even have suggested we take him to Zilker Park because Harry always goes to different places.

I love my dog Dash, even though his bark is really, REALLY, annoying.

Seattle band trip

My time in Seattle was great. I went with the wind ensemble band and we performed really well. I made very few mistakes. We played at the Hilton Double Tree in front of a lot of people. After we performed, we watched another band for an hour and ten minutes. Honestly, I think everyone was falling asleep. We went to a lot of museums as well. M favorite museum was the EMP. There were electronic instruments that we could play on. I play the drums and the piano so it was a lot of fun for me. We watched other performances like the Boston Brass. The Boston Brass was amazing. There were 2 trumpet players, a French horn player that also played the trumpet, a tuba, and a trombone player. We also watched Henry Middle School and they were pretty good. We only performed once so they rest of the time we were in Seattle was fun.

My Favorite Place When I was Little

My favorite place when I was little was my Grandparent’s house. My family and I came to their housed in New Jersey for Christmas. They had a big house near a forest with many tall trees. On Christmas morning, I would wake up early, go down the stairs and gaze at all of the presents. I couldn’t go back to sleep because I was so excited. In that big house my favorite room was the basement. It was a clean, big room that had a lot of toys and games to play. I loved my Grandparent’s house.

Halloween

I can’t wait until Halloween. I’m probably not going to dress up as anything because I going to watch a movie and play cards with my friends. There is also a dance tonight that I’m going to with my friends. I’m glad it’s a no homework night on Thursday and a late start on the following Friday. I hope I get a lot of candy!

Snorkeling in the Galapagos

Jumping into the cool, clear water felt great. White bubbles surrounded me as I jumped in. I looked around and saw miles and miles of open sea. Colorful schools of fish swim all around me and sea lions swimming under me, then I come up to take a breath. I’ll never forget the Galápagos Islands.

Band

Band is one of my favorite classes. I’m in the best band called wind ensemble. I play percussion and I really enjoy it. The wind ensemble band is mostly 8th graders and only 4 7th graders incuding me. The other percussionists are really nice as well as the other 8th graders. I am a section leader which means I get to schedule when we do fun stuff and I get to help with other things. There was a vote and I won against the other percussionist. Band is a subject I look forward to everyday.

Reading and Me

I love to read. I read every night on my Kindle or regular paper books. My favorite book store is Barnes and Noble because they always have the books that I want.I only re-read books when a new book comes out in the series. I sometimes forget things that happen so I re-read the series. I get really into my books so I read really late even when my parents say I have to go to bed early. I read a lot but sometimes I read to fast. I read too fast and I miss information. Reading is one of my favorite things to do.
